Located in the historic Portland neighborhood of Louisville, this adaptive re-use project transforms an 1800’s warehouse into an artisanal chocolate factory and visitor center. The program includes a state-of-the-art industrial kitchen, production space and storage, as well as retail and a flexible event and meeting space. The parti took full advantage of the large clerestory bays for the public spaces, while providing moments of encounter with the adjacent inner processes of the chocolatiers.
